I Love Storytelling ...

It was my hobby as a child, reading goodnight stories to my toys!  I love hearing characters in my head and then bringing them to life for an audience: gangsters, lawyers, schoolchildren – I’ve created characters for them all! Whilst I’ve largely recorded Scottish audiobooks, I have narrated quite a few in standard British (RP), as well as using a range of accents in my narration. But narrating audiobooks isn’t just about accents, it is about understanding those characters, preparing well and anticipating what is coming next. I’ve been doing this for over ten years and I can do it quickly and efficiently but I hope, more importantly, I can do it with wholeheartedness and passion, and I can tell a story in ways the author may not even have imagined when they wrote it.
